Leo XIV has opened the way towards the beatification of Luigi Di Liegro (1928–1997), a Roman priest who wanted to be close to people dying of AIDS. The Saint-Colomban church is being built in Serris, Val d’Europe, near Disneyland Paris. The site will include a parish center, cultural center and Catholic school and covers about 4,000 m².
