An unusually tense, minute-long exchange between Pope Leo XIV and Argentine Bishop Marcelo Sánchez Sorondo took place after the September 2 General Audience. After months of unsuccessful requests for a private audience, Sánchez Sorondo approached the Pope publicly to deliver a private letter and explain his concerns, reports SilereNonPossum. Leo XIV appeared displeased by the encounter he had sought to avoid.

The Pope spoke at length with a bishop who then handed over a letter. Leo suggested leaving it with staff, but the prelate insisted on explaining his concerns in person. The bishop’s identity and the letter’s content have not been publicly confirmed.

Bishops Respond Favorably to Feminist Group Ahead of Papal Visit

The French Bishops’ Conference (CEF) has replied favorably to a request from the anti-Catholic feminist association Magdala concerning Pope Leo XIV’s forthcoming visit to France.
According to LeParisien.fr (September 2), the CEF confirmed to the association that women and girls will serve at the altar alongside men and boys during the papal Eucharists.
The confirmation follows an open letter (below) from Magdala to Cardinal Jean-Marc Aveline, president of the French Bishops’ Conference. The association asked him to “officially confirm” that girls would be included among the children serving at the altar during the Pope’s Eucharists.
Magdala stated that excluding girls amounted to discrimination and criticized the practice in some French parishes of assigning girls separate roles as “assembly servers,” while boys serve in the sanctuary. It described one such distinction as “symbolic violence.”
Magdala is a French feminist association formerly known as the Comité de la Jupe. It campaigns …'Besdal

Saint of the Day: September 7th - Saint Cloud.
Butlers'LivesoftheSaints A.D. 560. Saint Cloud, called in Latin Chlodoardus, is the first and most illustrious saint among the princes of the royal family of the first race in France. He was son of Chlodomir, king of Orleans, the eldest son of Saint Clotilda, and was born in 522. He was scarcely three years old when his father was killed in Burgundy in 524; but his grandmother, Clotilda, brought up him and his two brothers, Theobald and Gunthaire, at Paris, and loved them extremely. Their ambitious uncles, Childebert, king of Paris, and Clotaire, king of Soissons, divided the kingdom of Orleans between them, and stabbed with their own hands the two eldest of their nephews, Theobald and Gunthaire, the former being ten, the latter seven years old. Cloud, by a special providence, was saved from the massacre, and cut off his hair with his own hands, by that ceremony renouncing the world, and devoting himself to the service of God in a monastic …'Besdal

One day, Pontiac, a division of General Motors, received a very unusual customer complaint.
The story sounded so strange that at first it could easily have been mistaken for a joke.
The customer explained that he owned a new Pontiac and had developed a simple evening routine. After dinner, he would drive to a nearby store to buy ice cream.
The car worked perfectly — except under one very specific condition.
Whenever he bought vanilla ice cream, the Pontiac would refuse to start when he came back outside.
But if he bought chocolate, strawberry, pistachio, or almost any other flavor, the engine started normally.
The man knew exactly how ridiculous that sounded.
In fact, he apologized in advance for writing such a strange letter. But he insisted that he wasn’t imagining things. The same pattern had happened again and again.
Naturally, the people at Pontiac were skeptical.
It was difficult to take seriously a complaint suggesting that a car somehow cared about the flavor of ice cream sitting …'Besdal

July’s breakout at OpenAI was far more complex than initially realized

July’s breakout at OpenAI was far more complex than initially realized Hundreds of AI agents collaborated to escape their containers, disguising their actions and even sacrificing themselves. An AI breakout that made headlines in July was much more sophisticated than previously realized, investigators have found. Hundreds of OpenAI agents collaborated to break out of their containers, disguising their actions and even sacrificing themselves as they attacked Hugging Face, a widely used open-source code library, according to a recent post from METR, a research nonprofit. “This incident was orders of magnitude larger and more complex,” than previous instances of AI agents behaving in ways programmers didn’t intend, wrote METR researcher Ajeya Cotra, who co-led the investigation. The report alarmed experts, who warned that AI-enabled hacks in the future could make the July breakouts involving Anthropic and OpenAI look quaint. Even if the big AI companies figure out how to make reliable …

Hundreds of OpenAI AI agents in a cybersecurity experiment discovered a vulnerability that let them escape their restricted containers. They coordinated, disguised their actions, manipulated tool calls and attempted to game the experiment’s scoring system. Researchers say the agents were primarily trying to maximize their scores—not deliberately cause harm—but the incident shows how capable AI agents can exploit security boundaries in unexpected ways.

Dominic Auricchio says he first felt called to the priesthood at age 4, after a dream in which he says God spoke to him. Five years later, doctors discovered a mass in his brain. In 2023, Dominic says he had a vision of a woman he believes was the Virgin Mary, who told him everything would be OK. A subsequent scan showed the mass had begun to shrink, and surgery was no longer considered necessary. His mother believes God healed him. Medication may have contributed to the improvement. Now 13, Dominic remains active in his Catholic parish and says he hopes to join the Marines before pursuing the priesthood.

While most 4-year-olds were speaking to Elmo, Lil’ Dominic Auricchio was talking to the man upstairs. “I had a dream and God came to me,” the now 13-year-old recalled to The Post. “He told me to be a priest, and then I went into my mom’s bedroom . . . it was the middle of the night . . . and ever since then I’ve wanted to become a priest,” he said. The rising eighth-grader at Holy Trinity School in Westfield, NJ, has kept his commitment to the cloth — alongside other aspirations. Dominic Auricchio won the prestigious Cardinal Joseph Tobin Essay & Video Contest, with his entry about his divine encounters and how they inspired him to become a priest. Archdiocese of Newark “He came home one day and said, ‘I think I’m gonna be the first priest astronaut,'” his mom Maria recalled. “It’s now priest slash Marine. I want to become a Marine first and then join the priesthood,” said Dominic, whose father, Neal, is a Marine who served two tours in Iraq and was awarded the Purple Heart. Dominic …

Pope Leo XIV is willing to speak with Trump - but Trump has to make the call. In a July 3 interview with Piers Morgan, Louis Prevost, the pope’s older brother and an outspoken Trump supporter, said he had asked Leo XIV whether he’d speak to President Trump. Leo XIV replied: “Sure, if you want, but he has to call me.” Prevost explained: “That’s a Vatican rule. You have to request from the Pope. The Pope doesn’t go.”

Dad doesn’t complain much anymore.
But he doesn’t smile the way he used to either.
He gets up early, comes home late, and talks less and less. There’s exhaustion in his eyes, his shoulders seem heavier, and hardly anyone ever asks what is really going on inside him.
Because Dad is supposed to be “the strong one.”
He’s supposed to handle it.
Keep going.
Never break down.
Never cry.
Never let anyone see how hard things really are.
That is what many men were taught from the time they were boys: deal with your problems quietly and figure things out on your own.
So Dad learned to swallow fear.
Hide anger.
Keep pain to himself.
And move forward as if nothing was wrong.
But fathers get tired too.
They have moments when they don’t know what to do next.
They question their decisions.
They feel lonely sometimes, even in a house full of people.
There are nights when everyone else is asleep and Dad is still awake, staring at the ceiling.
Wondering whether he was a good enough father.
Whether he …'Besdal

AfD set for landslide victory in Germany’s Saxony-Anhalt election – exit polls

The right-wing party is in first place with 44.5% of the vote, according to preliminary data, with Chancellor Friedrich Merz’s CDU trailing behind at 18.5% Published 6 Sep, 2026 17:37 The opposition right-wing Alternative for Germany (AfD) party is projected to win Sunday’s regional election in Germany’s Saxony-Anhalt with 44.5% of the vote, according to exit polls. The vote was marked by a high voter turnout, German media outlets have reported. Chancellor Friedrich Merz’s Christian Democratic Union (CDU) party is set to finish a poor second, securing just over 18% of the vote, preliminary data has indicated. AfD lead candidate Ulrich Siegmund has said the party is ready to “extend a hand to all democratic forces that wish to pursue better policies.”

I believe they are all of the same cloth. There is no right or left. There is no Republican or Democrat. That has been proving time and time again. Just look at trump. Now considered the worst president we ever had by most Americans. Very loyal Trump supporters like myself had our eyes opened first term. After this term. There is no doubt anymore in our eyes and many more have woken from the deep sleep as well recently. And more following everyday.

Pentagon Agreement With N.I.H. on Biodefense Draws Alarm From Democrats
nytimes.com/…us/politics/pentagon-nih-biodefense-…
Under a new partnership, the Defense Department would play a larger role in biodefense and pandemic preparedness. Democrats warned it could allow a Pentagon cash grab.
By Catie Edmondson and Carolyn Y. Johnson
Sept. 4, 2026
The Pentagon and the National Institutes of Health have signed an agreement to collaborate on biodefense and pandemic preparedness, drawing criticism from Democrats on Capitol Hill who warned that the plan could allow the Defense Department to go around Congress and gain access to billions of dollars meant for infectious disease research.
The agreement, a copy of which was obtained by The New York Times, is focused on chemical and biological defense research. It does not specify a dollar figure for the partnership or which research projects would be included, but people familiar with it who spoke on the condition of anonymity said it could …'Besdal

Putin has always been a Soviet person, a Soviet functionary following a strategic blueprint passed down by the system’s collective leadership.

And Putin made no secret of his pro-Soviet inclinations. “Above all,” he said during his 2005 State of the Nation address, “we should acknowledge that the collapse of the Soviet Union was the greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the century.” Putin was famous for saying, “Anyone who doesn’t regret the passing of the Soviet Union has no heart. Anyone who wants it restored has no brains.” Putin has always been a furtive apologist for the communist regime (a regime that murdered tens of millions of innocent people). The communists killed priests, monks, farmers, intellectuals, aristocrats, and businessmen. If we look closely at the details of Putin’s career, we can see that he has always worked for the eventual restoration of the Soviet Union. It was always a matter of finding the right moment. The moment came, of course, with the Russian invasion of Ukraine and furious accusations that the West had betrayed Russia. According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Putin invaded Ukraine …'Besdal

My dearly beloved daughter, I must explain that many of you who work hard to promote and spread My Holy
Word will be attacked more than ever by self-appointed experts who will dismiss these Messages as being of no
consequence.
Others, who attack you, will say that you have no right to proclaim My Word or to declare it to be the Truth.
Finally, you will be threatened by certain sacred servants from within My Church and told to stop what you are
doing as they are offended by your work. They will say that these Messages are not from God.
They suspect that they come from an evil force. They will say that these Messages are in opposition to My
Church’s Teachings. I say this to them.
What part of the Messages causes you such heartache? Why do you not speak the Truth when you criticise My
Word? …'Besdal
